Designer by trade, juggler by design, Adrienne Akin Faulkner certainly has a rapport for décor. Born in Dallas, Texas, to Justice and Mrs. Ted Akin, Adrienne has always had a passion for interior architecture and sustainable design.
She began in the professional world of interior design with an internship at Trisha Wilson and Associates in the early 80’s. With big hair and bigger dreams, Adrienne worked on St. Andrews Golf Club in Scotland and Southland Corporation Headquarters and Executive Suites. Once back in the states, she opted to take “the road less traveled” and go into the multifamily design market, an as an un-yet uncharted and undeveloped design market, working under the tutelage of Fusch Serold & Partners Architects in Dallas before starting her own firm in 1992.
Adrienne would say she is a student of the world, having traveled to more than 50 countries on six continents. It is this love of cultural expression and design nuances that has given her a unique edge in her industry, and which she brings to her role as President and CEO for Faulkner Design Group. She is also President of Architectural–Images, an art company showcasing the artwork of her grandfather George L. Dahl, FAIA, and of Design Expediting Services International, a centralized receiving, warehousing, delivery and installation company based in Dallas. Together, these companies can offer customers a turn-key solution for all their design needs.
With more accolades than Meryl Streep, Adrienne spreads her creative touch and business-minded brains throughout the design community. She is active on the board or as a member of more than 22 local, national and international organizations.
Adrienne graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in finance/International business with a minor in accounting. She then went on to graduate with Honors with a Professional Certificate in Interior Design, and has also gained her LEED Green Associates Certification. Maximizing every minute of her 24-hour day, Adrienne’s first and foremost priority is to be a full-time mom to Noah and Aiden, who “make every day worth living to its fullest.”

As Faulkner Design Group’s No.1 cheerleader and brand ambassador, Michelle Duncum oversees all management of the firm’s clients, vendors, and national projects, while building the company’s brand. With extensive experience in employee management, finance, budgeting, internal controls and computer technology, Michelle also serves as an invaluable asset in functional architectural design and the layout construction of multifamily projects.
Michelle joined Faulkner Design Group after spending 24 years in the multifamily industry. She has held every role from leasing agent to Regional Director of Operations, but most recently spent 10 years as a client of Faulkner Design Group while serving as an Asset Manager overseeing multifamily development portfolios. An expert in the field of marketing, managing and building award-winning and design‐savvy communities, Michelle’s unique skills in management and development allows Faulkner Design Group to provide exceptional insight and superior client service.
This University of Texas at Arlington alumna and former Arena Cheerleader holds OSHA and Fair Housing Compliance certifications, has served on the Board of Directors for Arlington’s Teen Court as well as multiple financial advisory committees for the Arlington Independent School District, and has won numerous industry awards, including the Apartment Association Property of the Year and Property Manager of the Year.

Stacy Peters, plays an integral role as FDG’s Director of Design. Since joining Faulkner Design Group in 1999 as a college intern, Stacy is now in charge of client development and project management within the firm’s senior living division. She has a passion for Platinum Living™ design and understands the details required to meet specialized needs in all levels of senior care. Known throughout the design community for being able to translate a vision into reality, Stacy’s client list includes some of the leading senior living communities in the country.
While she spends an ample amount of time in the office developing state-of-the-art senior living communities, she’s still able to find the time to be a kid with her nieces and nephews.
Stacy earned her BFA from Purdue University, is NCIDQ Certified, a Registered Interior Designer, and LEED AP ID+C Certified.

Claudine Begay’s first foray into interior design began in high school when she channeled her inner artist and used her white bedroom furniture as a canvas for splattering black paint. Since then, she’s been able to stretch her style muscles every day, working her way up from FDG’s college intern about 20 years ago to a revered Director of Design, and adding a splash of color along the way. From managing the design of senior living and multifamily communities to managing a family with multiples, Claudine Begay does it all– and does it well. She’s a fun mom of three, a devoted wife, a creative speller, and a kick’n rocker to boot!
She oversees all stages of the firm’s projects, from the initial design concept to construction coordination to the installation of the furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E). Claudine also manages the budget, selection, design, purchasing and installation of all FF&E, as well as construction budget concerns and on site.
Claudine is a graduate of Steven F. Austin University with a B.A. in design and a minor in art history.

SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
This Senior Project Manager and busy mom of two still finds room on her to-do list to pencil in “me time.” A member of the FDG team for over a decade, Stephanie manages the firm’s design team and enjoys designing pretty much any space available. Her strong background in interior design and construction engineering has helped her take on the ins and outs of the industry—literally.
With nearly two decades of AutoCAD experience, including AutoCAD 2010 and some REVIT applications, Stephanie is in charge of initiating overall design concepts, space planning and the complete design development of multifamily and senior living projects. Stephanie serves as an interface with clients and also plays an integral role in initiating client marketing strategies and development, while also managing the design team, site visits, procurement and installation.
She earned her BFA in interior design with a minor in construction engineering from The University of North Texas. And aside from being a fundamental member of the FDG team and a busy mom, Stephanie is currently studying for her Interior Design certification.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS - DESIGN EXPEDITING SERVICES INTERNATIONAL
As the Director of Operations for Design Expediting Services International, (DESI), Daniel Toliver ensures that each and every day, Faulkner Design Group’s storage, moving and installation needs run smoothly and seamlessly. For over 20 years, Toliver has been responsible for finding strategic solutions to many of installation and procurement’s biggest challenges as well as making sure every solution is code-compliant.
A highly motivated and purpose-driven professional, Toliver possesses and demonstrates the ability to implement process improvement and manage projects that increase efficiency. He has extensive knowledge in automated business solutions, customer support and performance reporting and regularly provides guidance on policies and plans affecting company operations, delivery of practice advisory in addition to knowledge and learning services. Toliver also monitors and analyzes the operating environment and readjusts operations based on internal and external client needs.
A Certified Consumer Driven Six-Sigma Green Belt and Recognized 6 Sigma Society Member, Toliver received much of his training from the University of Texas at Dallas School of Management.
